Losing Weight Before the Wedding: Is This What It's Come To?

Wow.  I never imagined I would see the day.

I've seen years of diet craziness but this beats them all.  The new fad?  Feeding tubes for 10 days!  Check out the link.   Yes, you have a feeding tube put through your nose into your stomach that provides you with liquid nutrition that you carry around in a little pouch.  You don't eat.

Is this safe?  No way!  Is this healthy?  I think you know the answer to that.

But we have grown so lazy, so accustomed to "easy and automatic" and not thinking about what we are eating.  We don't seem to be too concerned with developing good nutritional habits that will serve us well the rest of your life.   We don't want to "learn" it seems.

If you are interested in losing weight before your wedding, there is no substitute for good old fashioned WORK!  And there so substitute for the sense of accomplishment that goes along with that work.  Yes, you may have a wedding ahead where you want to look skinny as you walk down that aisle (and with the feeding tube diet you might look skinny all right but how about half dead?), but your wedding day marks a transition in your life - don't you want to keep the weight off too?  Do you really want to get to your 10 year anniversary 50lbs heavier than when you were married (common occurrence).  If not, take the opportunity now to lose the weight properly and learn exactly why you are having trouble losing weight and what to do about it, the healthy and safe way.

Maybe I'm preaching here but I was 200lbs as a teenager and have spent the rest of my life learning about weight loss.   It even motivated me to become a naturopathic doctor, with years of training and clinical practice.  I've tried so many diets.  I've spent so much time moaning and groaning about how I couldn't lose weight no matter what I tried (incorrect - I was just misinformed).    But I'm at a great weight and have maintained it for years.  I've learned a lot and I get passionate about helping people through the same struggles that I've faced.   Which is why I offer the SlimBride program to my brides.  No gimmicks, no selling drinks or supplements, no nonsense.  Just real-life, one on one coaching about what works!

Please contact me if you want to learn more about this program.  I'd love to help!
